What is Chiropractic Care?
Chiropractors firmly believe that the body’s musculoskeletal structure must be properly aligned in order to prevent certain health issues. Consequently, they draw on their beliefs and focus on the condition of the human spine. As no two patients are alike, everyone receives care tailored to their unique symptoms and needs. When you visit All Health Chiropractic Clinic, the non-invasive and non-surgical treatments you undergo may include manual manipulation, spinal decompression, and therapeutic massage to provide remedies for:
- Back and neck pain

What Type of Training is required to become a Chiropractor?
How long has Chiropractic Care been in existence?
New patients at All Health Chiropractic Clinic who are unfamiliar with chiropractic care often ask us if it is a new medical concept. However, chiropractic care was first performed by Daniel David Palmer in 1895 when he successfully restored a deaf janitor’s hearing by performing a spinal manipulation on him and alleviating his hearing loss. Because the standards for chiropractors became laxer during the 60s, it inspired considerable criticism of the profession. Fortunately, modern requirements are more stringent.
Is Chiropractic Care considered safe?
Yes, it is generally considered safe, although the development of complications after treatment has occurred in a relatively small number of cases and included increased herniation and pain. However, the risk of these occurrence sis minimal compared to those involving other types of medical treatment. This is why in a hospital you would be asked to sign a waiver saying that you understand medical or surgical procedures have risks including death or permanent disability. In comparison, the risk of complications or injury during chiropractic care at All Health Chiropractic Clinic is far less likely.
Can your body become physically addicted to chiropractic adjustments?
Many patients in the past have asked if spinal manipulation can become addictive or habit-forming. But there is no evidence to indicate the possibility of addiction occurring. However, discontinuing treatment can result in your spine returning to its original state, although this isn’t because your body has developed a treatment dependency. Your spine often becomes misaligned if you don’t change your lifestyle habits after you’ve been receiving chiropractic care.
How will you know if you need chiropractic care?
The chiropractic care team at All Health Chiropractic Clinic will always perform a thorough examination and evaluation before treatment is recommended. This exam and evaluation may include a CT scan, MRI, or X-rays. We may need to contact your other physicians or specialists for information regarding your health. However, this will only be done with your consent. This enables our team to work in conjunction with these professionals in order to provide treatment that increases your chances or better pain management and recovery.
